How to Make a Mini Wood Round Ornament

I used several of theses mini wood rounds from Dollar Tree to make mini wood round ornaments.

All of these turned out so stinking cute you will be making them too.

DIY #1 Buffalo Plaid Merry Christmas Mini Wood Round

STEP 1.

I painted the first round with Waverly Steel chalk paint and dried it with my hot air gun.

STEP 2.

I applied and buffed Chalk Couture surface wax.

STEP 3.

I cut down this large Chalk Couture transfer so it was more manageable for small projects.

I applied a layer of Bright White paste, removed the excess, and lifted the transfer off.

STEP 4.

I used this Merry Christmas transfer from Chalk Couture and chalked the words Merry Christmas towards the bottom of the wood round.

STEP 5.

I applied a layer of mod podge to protect and seal the ornament, I strung a piece of twine thru the hole. I created a small bow with some Hobby Lobby ribbon and applied a small piece of berries and the bow to the mini wood round.

I love how the buffalo plaid turned out on this mini wood round ornament and the striped bow was the perfect touch.

I use Chalk Couture on several of these mini wood round ornaments. If you want to learn more about Chalk Couture visit my Chalk Couture Store.
